Job Description:

Fairfield County Job & Family Services is seeking a community-oriented Deputy Director for the Protective Services Division, including both Child Protective Services (CPS) and Adult Protective Services (APS).

The Protective Services Division is responsible for responding to and addressing reports of child abuse and neglect as well as elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation. The Deputy Director role is strategic in nature and should bring a visionary and proactive stance to managing the Protective Services Division. The Deputy Director reports directly to the Agency Director, and plays an active part in the Agency Senior Leadership Team.

Qualifications and Benefits:

The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field. A Master’s Degree is preferred. A minimum of five years of experience in human service program administration with at least two years of supervisory experience and a demonstrated commitment to cultural competence and diversity is also required. Solid oral and verbal communication skills are necessary.
