Fairfield County Job and Family Services has an exciting opportunity for a Case Worker in Training in the Child Protective Services Department. This position is the first step of a progressive training model that includes an initial orientation and training program in the field of Child Welfare to prepare the candidate to assume a Child Welfare Social Service Worker position within the agency.

A Child Welfare Social Service Worker manages a caseload of children and families, and may make the initial investigation or provide ongoing support and resources to families to ensure child safety and well-being.

Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field. Starting salary for the Case Worker in Training is $32.052, and generally quickly increases to $34,486 upon the completion of the training program and movement into a casework vacancy.
