Ashland County Department of Job and Family Services is seeking applicants for 2 part time positions that are available within the Social Services Unit.
Foster Care Licensing Specialist/Social Service Worker 2:
This is a part time position. The primary duties for this position include: Recruitment and licensing of foster homes; ongoing case management of licensed foster homes; provide pre-service and ongoing training to foster/adoptive families. Other duties include, but are not limited to: Investigating allegations of child abuse and neglect, in home meetings with families, providing court testimony; preparing and maintaining foster care files and case records; preparing and maintaining forms and correspondence; meeting mandates and deadlines; ensuring compliance with standards set forth by ODJFS for licensing and social services. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field. LSW or LISW preferred. Adoption assessor certification preferred. This position is a bargaining unit position.
Starting salary is $15.76 per hour, and additional stipends are available for assessor certifications and qualifying prior work experience.
