ADAMS COUNTY JOB AND FAMILY SERVICES DIRECTOR

The Adams County Commissioners are accepting applications for the position of Director of the Adams County Department of Job and Family Services and Child Support Enforcement Agency. The Director oversees all agency functions and maintains all agency programs and activities on behalf of the Adams County Commissioners. The appointment is an unclassified civil service position to be serving at the pleasure of the County Commissioners. To effect an orderly transition, the appointee will serve temporarily as Assistant Director until the retirement of the current Director, scheduled for December 1, 2017.

Minimum qualifications for this position are completion of undergraduate major core course work in one of the following or a related field: business administration, public administration, human services, human resources, psychology, sociology, social work, education, or finance; plus 5 years of administrative/managerial experience including managing the fiscal aspects of an organization, agency, program, or operational area and assisting in developing and implementing policies, programs, laws, rules, and/or regulations; with at least 2 of the 5 years as a supervisor over subordinate staff and/or contractors; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position. Salary DOQ. Requires a valid State of Ohio Driver’s License.
