SOCIAL SERVICES WORKER 2 – Intake Investigator
There is an opening for a Social Services Worker 2 in the Intake Unit of the Children Services Division of the Knox County Department of Job & Family Services. This person will be responsible for investigating reports of Child Abuse and Neglect. This is a full-time, regular, bargaining unit position and starting salary is $16.66 per hour. The minimum qualifications are as follows: 1) a bachelor’s degree in human services-related studies, or; 2) a bachelor’s degree in any field and have been employed for at least two years in a human services occupation, or; 3) an associate’s degree in human services-related studies, or; 4) been employed for at least five years in a human service-related occupation. For employment to continue, a person described in Option 2, 3, or 4 must obtain a job-related bachelor’s degree not later than five years after the date of employment with the agency commences. Mandatory training hours required after hire and during continued employment. Applicant must also have a valid driver’s license.
