Job Description:

The Champaign County Department of Job and Family Services is accepting resumes for a full-time position of Eligibility Referral Specialist 2 in the Public Assistance Unit.

Minimum Qualifications:

1-year experience as an Eligibility Referral Specialist 1, or one year of experience in behavioral science, social science, or customer service techniques, six months experience in business mathematics, business English, interviewing techniques and six months experience in typing, keyboarding or word processing, or-education, training and/or experience in an equal amount.

Pay Range:

$31,116.80 to $39,728.00 annually based on experience.

Duties:

Primary duties of this position are Benefit Recovery/Customer Service. The person in this position will investigate potential benefit overpayments, develop repayment agreements and/or prepare and present to prosecutor’s office for potential criminal proceedings; this position will also provide backup assistance in determining eligibility for customers applying for or redetermination for public assistance and/or Medicaid, and/or assess ongoing customer’s employment situations and seek to resolve any barriers to employment these customers may be experiencing.
