Work Schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. M-F (slight schedule variation available)

Summary:

The Attorney works with a small team of attorneys and experienced legal support staff to fulfill the Child Support Enforcement Division’s (CSE) mission to strengthen families by establishing paternity and fair and enforceable support orders, enforcing orders, cooperating with community partners; and providing excellent customer service. This position is ideal for an attorney at any experience level, from someone newly admitted to the bar seeking to gain litigation and courtroom experience, to an experienced attorney seeking a consistent workload and predictable schedule. The position allows for work/life balance in a professional environment and offers competitive pay and benefits in the Clark County area. The position is located in the Child Support Enforcement Division of the Clark County Department of Job and Family Services.

General Job Duties:

The successful candidate will provide professional legal advice and representation to ensure that support orders are appropriately established and enforced. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals. The individual selected will be responsible for all steps involved in litigating the establishment of paternity, the establishment of support orders, modifications of support orders, enforcement of support orders and termination of support orders and represent the CSE in a professional and positive manner to case participants, governmental agencies and offices, attorneys, and general public.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Admission to the Ohio Bar per Section 4705.01 of the Ohio Revised Code

Preferred Qualifications:

  • No disciplinary or administrative sanction by the Supreme Court pursuant to Gov. Bar R. V and VI (Please provide your Supreme Court Number)
  • Currently in compliance with their Continuing Legal Education by the Supreme Court pursuant to Gov. Bar R. X
