Type: Full-Time Unclassified / Exempt Position
Probationary Period: 365 Days
Salary: Compensation based upon education and experience.

Job Duties:

Under the supervision of the Clinton County Job and Family Services (CCJFS) Director, this individual assists in the operation of all CCJFS agency units including Child Protection, Public Assistance, Child Support, and OhioMeansJobs. Serves as the liaison between unit administrators, supervisors, and Director. Meets with administrators and supervisors regularly and enforces common work goals and identifies agency priorities. With the Director, is responsible for oversight of all agency programs. Represents CCJFS interests and maintains and develops partnerships both locally and at the state level. Serves as the agency complaints liaison for CCJFS civil rights compliance and for staff civil rights training or additional training and planning as assigned. Addresses concerns and complaints within CCJFS program areas. Monitors agency practices in relation to policy and quality compliance in all departments. Responsible for various agency reports and data tracking and monitors time lines and due dates. Coordinates staff responsible for completion, implementation, and training of policy, program, and practice changes. Seeks, participates in, and develops ongoing funding strategies and grant opportunities for agency programs. Coordinates county outreach for agency public relations and community involvement and engagement. Coordinates efforts in relation to subrecipient monitoring. Participates in requests for proposals to determine agency contract services. Monitors contracts to assure that participants adhere to program guidelines. Works within, assigns duties, and manages operations of agency departments in the absence of the Director. Assures agency staffing levels are stable and participates in employee recruitment, on-boarding, and individual performance evaluation. Evaluates agency performance and outcomes in all CCJFS units and works with Director and administrative team to develop strategies for success. Attends meetings and training as requested and required. Performs other duties as assigned. Maintains confidentiality of case and agency information. Complies with Clinton County and agency personnel policies and procedures. Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance. Clinton County is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Social Services or Administration or related field. A minimum of five years work experience in a Job and Family Services agency in a leadership role is required. Has knowledge of CCJFS combined functions and the utilization of a team approach in providing services to the community. Ability to synthesize a variety of tasks/information, Good communication, writing, speaking, and computer skills, valid driver’s license. Must pass BCI/FBI background checks and drug screening.
