Clark County Clerical Specialist 4




This is a full-time, classified, bargaining position. The employee provides administrative and clerical tasks in an
accurate and timely manner. The employee provides support to the staff by tracking, processing and administering cases in different areas of the Family & Children Services division.



Minimum - 12 months experience as a Clerical Specialist 3 Or completion of two years of technical training in office administration/secretarial science Or formal education in arithmetic that includes addition and subtraction, and reading and writing common English vocabulary. Also required one course or six months experience in typing or keyboarding and one course or six months experience in word processing. In addition, applicants must have an additional twelve months previous clerical experience in a position similar to a Clerical Specialist 3.
Preferred - Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills to perform duties of tracking and documenting program progress and inventory of supplies. Experience working independently as well as in a cooperative team environment. Experience providing direct service to a diverse customer base. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, including experience in taking minutes, keyboarding and interacting with the public. Experience in adapting to new technology or computer programs
