A Warm Conference Welcome

From Conference Co-Chairs Lauren Cavanaugh and Katie Adams

Dear Conference Attendee,

We are excited to welcome you to the Ohio Job and Family Services Directors’ Association’s 63rd Annual Training Conference.

Training presents a prime opportunity to expand knowledge, stay current, and strengthen our skills. This year’s Annual Training Conference features sessions that focus on Medicaid, SNAP/TANF, workforce, fiscal, child care, APS, human resources, and so much more. We are extremely fortunate to have incredible speakers who invest their time and talents into to inform and energize us. The topics that will be covered over the next two days are guaranteed to help you in your day-to-day work when you return to your agency.

There are so many ways for you to make this a great conference and we wanted to share a few of our tips to make your experience both enjoyable and educational.

Tip One: Download and utilize the conference app. The app will help you navigate the entire conference and allow you to have session handouts at your fingertips and take notes. The app also includes maps, notifications, games, chat rooms, directory, and sponsor and exhibitor information. You will be glad you took a few seconds to download this “handy” tool!

Tip Two: Network with other attendees. The conference provides many wonderful opportunities to get to know staff from other counties and build relationships - take advantage of them.

Tip Three: Participate in all the conference has to offer and have fun during your time in Columbus.

Conference Committee members are available and happy to help you during the conference. They will be wearing red shirts on Thursday and black shirts on Friday, please look for them or stop by the information desk located next to registration.

Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to attend the OJFSDA’s 2019 Annual Training Conference! It is an honor to share this experience with you and we sincerely hope you enjoy every moment and take away a wealth of knowledge and new friendships.

Sincerely,

L. Cavanaugh
