Annual Conference Welcome

2016 Committee Chair David Dombrosky

Dear 2016 OJFSDA Conference Attendee:

It is my privilege and honor to personally welcome each of you to the 60th Annual Training Conference of the Ohio Job and Family Services Directors’ Association

David Dombrosky

The past few years have brought an unprecedented amount of change to the delivery of human services programs throughout Ohio.   Right now there are more than fifteen (15) major programs changes pending including: the introduction of the Comprehensive Case Management & Employment Program (CCMEP), the implementation of the Workforce Innovation & Opportunities Act (WIOA), conversion of Aged, Blind and Disabled (ABD) Medicaid cases into the Ohio Benefits system, the Disability Determination Redesign, new Adult Protective Services requirements, a new statewide document Management Solution, a renewed Child  Protection focus on visitation, and sweeping proposed changes to the Child Support Guidelines.  While this list does not include everything coming our way, it illustrates that every corner of the Human Services spectrum will be changed in some way this year. Whew…talk about stress!!!

This year’s conference committee was incredibly insightful and successful in providing sessions that will help you to navigate many of the upcoming changes and calm some of the anxiety and stress you may be feeling.  Additionally, there are opportunities to network with your peers helping you to realize that you are not in this alone.  You are part of a much larger network of experienced, dedicated professionals who every day do some amazing work with the people we serve.  You will have the opportunity to learn, network, share your best practices, and have some fun and relax a little.

THANK YOU for all of your hard work this year!  You are truly appreciated!

I look forward to seeing you at this year’s conference!!!

Sincerely,

David S. Dombrosky, Chair

2016 OJFSDA Annual Training Conference, and

Director, Delaware County Department of Job and Family Services
