JOB DESCRIPTION:
Determines, re-determines, reopens and authorizes public assistance benefits and Supportive Services for eligible applicants, provides other related services deemed appropriate to assist family toward self sufficiency, processes changes to assure that customer has ongoing services available to the family without interruption, assists customers in locating and/or obtaining Child Care providers, provides customers with detailed explanations of services available, processes denials and case closings for those deemed ineligible for public assistance benefits and Supportive Services, processes changes based on employment status or other changes of customer, validates and/or investigates verification documents and resources, processes all IEV'S & DASS matches in eligibility system.
With community service agencies, coordinates services and provides follow-up on services provided. Performs customer service duties for customers via telephone or in person relative to services available, initiates and maintains contact.
Maintains records, provides information to fiscal officer relative to services authorized, attends training sessions, meetings, seminars and workshops.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate Degree - OR - High school diploma equivalent plus four (4) years of experience determining program eligibility, administration, or customer service; OR alternative, equivalent evidence of the Minimum Class Requirements.
