About The Role:
The Agency Resource Officer (full-time or part-time positions available) is responsible for maintaining the security for the buildings, grounds and parking areas. Primary responsibilities include:
- Shields and protects Agency employees, clients and visitors.
- Monitors lobby for potential security problems.
- Conducts rounds to establish security presence.
- Secures building in time of emergency.
- Carries firearm and summons and assists law enforcement officials when necessary.
- Enforces local, state and federal codes, regulations and/or laws as necessary.
- Investigates crimes and threats committed in the Agency.
- Investigates complaints.
- Records daily rounds and incidents for security report.
- Answers general inquiries from the public.
- Projects positive Agency image in relations with clients and general public.
- Conducts fire and severe weather drills and maintains safe and secure emergency exits.
- Serves as member of Agency Safety Committee.
- Conducts internal/minor external investigations.
- Assists Investigation Unit with Callback Program (i.e., calls client to confirm and verify application information provided to the Agency; reports finding to IM Unit).
- Processes lost or stolen checks.
- Completes handwriting samples and forwards request for replacement check to IM Unit.
- Processes Fleeing Felon matches.
- Other duties as assigned (e.g., assists various units with special projects, emergency contact for security company, etc.).
Salary and Benefits:
- Starting pay is $30.16 per hour
- Hours:
- Full-Time: Monday - Friday (37.5 hours per week) 8:15 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
- Part-Time: Monday – Friday (25 hours per week) 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Candidate Requirements:
- Certificate evidencing successful completion of Ohio Basic Peace Officer training as approved by the Ohio Peace Officer Training commission.
- Or completion of 20 years of active duty as a peace officer per Section 109.78 (D) of the Ohio Revised Code.
- Commissioned carrying of a firearm.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of the position
