The Putnam County Department of Job and Family Services is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Workforce Development Coordinator to join our team.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
• Directs the planning, implementation and ongoing management programs of WIOA-funded programs and related workforce initiatives.
• Ensures all programs operate in compliance with federal, state and local laws, regulations, and policies.
• Overseas the development, implementation, and maintenance of program policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Establishes program goals, performance metrics, and continuous improvement strategies. Ensures readiness for and response to audits, monitoring reviews, and compliance evaluations.
• Develop and implement corrective action plans as necessary.
• Establishes internal monitoring systems to ensure program integrity and accountability.
• Determine WIOA eligibility for Adult and Dislocated Worker customers; conduct assessments.
• Schedule orientation for Workforce applicants. Hold orientation and explain rules/regulations of program.
• Serves as a liaison to workforce partners, including but not limited to employers' community organizations and educational institutions.
• Represents and serves as a subject matter expert on workforce programs at meetings, events, and public forums as directed.
• Contacts local schools and guidance counselors to promote CCMEP and OMJ services.
• Provides direct and/or indirect supervision of assigned staff and program areas.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Possession of a bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in human services related studies OR possesses an associate’s degree in human services-related studies and at least five years’ experience in Workforce Development is preferred. Previous case management experience preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills, be skillful in problem solving, maintain accurate records and be able to develop and present new ideas to unique issues as they arise. You must be highly adaptable to change, organized, ability to meet multiple deadlines, and want to make a difference in the lives of families in the community.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license and maintain insurability under the County’s vehicle insurance policy.
