Position Title: Service Coordinator – Senior Services

Description: This is an Unclassified/Non-exempt, full-time position in our Union County Senior Services department. The primary duties of this position include: under general supervision of the Supervisor or Program Manager, conduct home visits and perform periodical client assessments and assist regarding their needs; receive and provide referrals to clients; develop and maintain relationships with providers, track and update client information in the agency database; and complete Adult Protective Services cases adhering to applicable rules.

Qualifications: Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field.
Other Requirements:
Valid State of Ohio driver’s license and insurability under Union County’s policy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Effective use of technology.
Must be capable of passing a comprehensive pre-employment background investigation.
Unusual Working Conditions or Hazards:
The employee has exposure to chemical compounds found in an office environment (e.g.
toner, correction fluid, etc.); is exposed to possible injury due to unclean or unsanitary
conditions; has contact with potentially violent or emotionally distraught persons; has
exposure to hazardous driving conditions; has exposure to potentially vicious animals; has
exposure to bed bugs, lice, scabies and other insects; uses or works in proximity to the use of
firearms; works in or around crowds; has exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy weather
conditions; has exposure to second hand smoke; ascends and/or descends ladders, stairs, or
scaffolds; has to work irregular hours. NOTE: in Accordance with the U.S. Department of
Labor physical strength ratings, this is considered sedentary work.

Pay Rate: Starting pay $16.65/hour
