JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primary duties shall include: investigation of claims of abuse and neglect of children and/or older adults, intervene as necessary to ensure safety of child(ren) or adult(s), maintain caseload of abuse/neglect cases including data entry in MIS system, prepare judicial and administrative reviews, provide court testimony, meet appropriate deadlines, and ensure compliance with state and federal mandates for Child and Adult Protective Services. Starting rate: $18.17 per hour.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Per Section 5153.112 of the Ohio Revised Code, applicants of a Public Children Services unit must have one of the following: (1) bachelor's degree in human services-related studies; (2) bachelor's degree in any field and has been employed for at least two years in a human services-related occupation; (3) associate's degree in human services-related studies; (4) employment for at least five years in a human services-related occupation. For employment to continue, a person described in division (2), (3), or (4) of this section must obtain a job-related bachelor's degree not later than five years after the date employment with the agency commences.
