JOB DESCRIPTION:

CLASSIFICATION: Pay Range 7 - $47,403.20 to $66,102.40 annually based on protective services experience

DUTIES: Primary duties include diligent searching with relentless engagement to identify potential connections, supports, and kinship placement options for children entering or in foster care, with the goal of identifying no less than eighty (80) connections per child. When needed, individual may provide a wide range of casework services to children and families. These duties may include any or combination of any of the following:

  • Completion of genograms and identifying connections by using interviewing and available technological resources • Responding to emergencies, completing home evaluations, conducting family interviews
  • Identifying barriers and actively working to remove barriers to engage kin with youth in custody Duties may also include any of the following as designated by management.
  • Investigation and/or assessment of child abuse/neglect referrals
  • Maintenance of a caseload of families/children who require protective assistance
  • Provision of adoption and post adoption services to children and families
  • Receiving and documenting allegations of child abuse/neglect and sharing with teammates in 24/7 on-call rotation (with associated on call stipend)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in social work or human services related field. Previous child protective service experience, Master's Degree, or completion of CORE training preferred.
