JOB DESCRIPTION:

Creates working relationships with higher education institutions and participating county Job and Family Services and Public Children Services agencies across the State of Ohio to recruit and advertise the Fellowship Program; establishes relationships to ensure program promotion; schedules meetings to explain program requirements; schedules speaking engagements and makes presentations to individuals in targeted degree fields.

Manages advertising of available positions and associated social media accounts; attends monthly meetings to review platform utilization; maintains and updates websites and social media accounts; creates segments and campaigns for recruitment.

Recruits students for Fellowship Program via face to face interactions, phone, virtual contact or email.; identifies potential applicants.

Screens applicants and provides support through the interview process; contacts students to further explain the program; ensures students are viable candidates; completes the student Screening Tool; and contacts partnering counties regarding position vacancies.

Travels to and attends meetings, conferences and events to discuss and promote the Fellowship Program.

Provides retention services to Fellowship Students and assists with job readiness.

Reviews unit activities to assess agency compliance with state mandates, best practice standards, professional judgment and agency standards; reviews case actions and documentation, safety assessments, family assessments, investigation reports, and related data and information; evaluates and determines compliance, timeliness, quality, communication frequency, service provision, and related performance measures; identifies non-compliance and deficiencies; provides verbal and written recommendations and corrective actions to cases; maintains related documentation; maintain program records and recruitment statistics as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in social work or behavioral science required; supplemented by three years of experience as a Protective Services Worker III or equivalent position in a related agency; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid Ohio driver's license.
