Governor DeWine Signs State Budget Bill
The legislature sent an agreed upon budget to the governor late last Wednesday night and Governor DeWine signed the bill, after the addition of 25 vetoes on non-JFS provisions, making it effective immediately.
The Governor released a statement saying, "It lays the groundwork for a better Ohio for generations to come. This budget will lead to healthier children, stronger families, safer communities, an enhanced workforce, and a more prosperous Ohio, while also providing significant tax relief for every Ohio taxpayer and regulatory relief for Ohio businesses."
Significant new dollars for both the children services and adult protective services systems remained in the bill and we are extremely grateful to both the governor and the legislature for this historic investment in Ohio’s most vulnerable citizens.
