ODJFS is Offering Scholarships for the APS Conference Track
In conjunction with annual conference registration, we wanted to highlight for our members that the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services' (ODJFS) Adult Protective Services section is sponsoring the APS training track. The track includes five comprehensive sessions and offers training certificates that fulfill APS state training requirements.
To encourage attendance, ODJFS is offering scholarships for county APS staff to attend one or both days of the conference. Scholarships are limited to two staff per county agency - or its designated agency - and are reserved for staff involved in the provision of APS services such as intake, case investigation, provision of protective services, supervision, and/or administration. Eligible staff may attend APS and/or non-APS related sessions, however, only sessions that are part of the APS training track will be eligible to count towards their annual APS training requirements.
Information regarding how to register for the conference once granted a scholarship, is being made available by ODJFS. To find out more, please contact the ODJFS APS section via email at APS_mailbox@jfs.ohio.gov.
We are very excited to be able to continue this partnership and encourage you to take advantage of this valuable training opportunity!
